Taken during my descent from the top of mount Agung, the tallest volcano in Bali, Indonesia, I managed to catch the first rays of dawn. I could see the silhouettes of other climbers that morning along wearily ambling down the ridge of the mountain, all dwarfed by the vastness of the surrounding landscape. Many local Balinese climbers hike this mountain carrying offerings as a tribute to the gods, making the trek as a rite of passage in their devoutly Hindu community.
